Launch of BingoPalooza Festival in October to Fight Senior Isolation

Phoenix, Arizona Sep 6, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - In October 2021, older adults from 29 countries joined a hybrid game of bingo on Televeda to play together online & in-person at senior-centers, and collectively set a world record for most viewers of a bingo livestream! Based on the success of this bold experiment, Televeda is launching a unique and one-of-a-kind hybrid Bingo Festival called BingoPalooza. It's a modern twist to the classic game of bingo making it more accessible and engaging for older adults. 

Allison Benedict, Activities Director for the Presbyterian Senior Care Center in Buffalo, NY said last year's bingo event was: "...amazing. Nothing we've ever seen before! Our members love live action and find it incredible that people on the computer can interact with them!" A senior-center participant in Ohio shared that she had been isolated from any human contact, including her daughter, for 2 years during the pandemic, but thanks to the World Record Bingo event, she was able to participate with her daughter and many others in her community - bringing joy and a sense of kinship during an uncertain pandemic.
