Bridger Hat Co Launches Faith-Forward Ball Cap Line With a Scripture Reference Stitched Inside Every Crown

Oct 25, 2026

Garth and Hannah Watrous's new brand builds every cap around the three things that fail first on most hats — the crown, the visor and the sweatband — and stitches a scripture reference inside where only the wearer sees it. Twelve styles, $49 to $79.

United States, October 25, 2026 -- Bridger Hat Co, founded by Garth and Hannah Watrous, has launched with twelve faith-based baseball caps priced from $49 to $79. Every one carries a scripture reference stitched inside the crown, where the man wearing it is the only one who knows it is there.

Built Against the Three Ways a Cap Fails

The brand's starting point is what happens to a cap after a week of real use. A hat gets sweated through, rained on, grabbed off the seat of a truck and jammed back on without a thought. Most caps are not built for that, and the failures are predictable: the crown softens into a shapeless

dome, the visor ripples after it gets wet and dries in the sun, the sweatband starts holding odor. Bridger built every hat in the line against those three failures first and designed around them second.

Each cap uses a structured six-panel crown that spreads the tension of daily wear across the seams instead of letting it collapse at the top. The visor has a floatable core that holds its curve through sweat-and-dry cycles rather than warping. The sweatband is moisture-wicking and antimicrobial. None of those are upgrades. They are the baseline on the $49 cap and the $79 cap alike.

A Second-Generation Hatmaker

Garth Watrous grew up in the business. His father, Gary Watrous, founded American Hat Makers in 1972, and Garth now leads that company. Bridger is a separate brand, built by someone who has spent his life around what makes a hat last and what makes one fail.

Three Collections, Twelve Styles

The line splits three ways. The Field collection draws on ranch and workwear: the Carpenter in all-black duck canvas, the Yardman in railroad-stripe denim with a black canvas visor. The waterproof performance caps are for heat and water — the Tracker in grey-camo poly microfiber and the Blackwater in neoprene, both meant to be worn hard and dry fast.

The heritage caps are where the materials get old-fashioned on purpose. The Timberline pairs a forest-green corduroy crown with a dark-brown waxed-canvas visor, two fabrics chosen because corduroy keeps its pile under hands and sun and waxed canvas sheds water and dries back to its shape. The Homestead, the top of the line at $79, is camel-felt wool with a leather visor, a leather strapback and antique copper hardware that will not corrode from sweat. It is the only cap in the line that carries the Bridger coin.

The Part Nobody Sees

Each style was given its own verse — Ephesians 4:32 inside the Homestead, Jeremiah 29:11 inside the Yardman, Romans 8:31 inside the Tracker — along with a single word stitched beside it. The Homestead's is Redeemed. The choices were made one hat at a time by people connected to the brand, and Bridger intends to tell those stories later. The placement is the point. The verse is for the man wearing the hat, not for the room he walks into.

"Bridger started as something I needed long before it became something I built," said Garth Watrous, co-founder of Bridger Hat Co. "It is for the men who carry more than most will ever know. The verse is on the inside because that is where you need it — at five in the morning when you put the hat on, not when somebody reads it off your forehead. I grew up around hatmaking, and what my father taught me is that the parts nobody sees are the parts that tell you whether a thing was built honestly."

Honor, Family, Faith, Purpose

The brand states its values plainly. Much of its writing is addressed to men in a hard season — the one starting over, the one who got a second chance and knows it, the one who gave somebody his time when it was not asked for. The hat does not announce any of that. It carries it.

Lifetime Build Guarantee

Every Bridger cap comes with a lifetime build guarantee. If the hat fails at the seams, the visor core or the sweatband because of how it was made, Bridger replaces it. Honest wear is not a defect, and the brand says it should show.

Availability

Bridger caps are sold at bridgerhatco.com in one 58cm size with an adjustable strapback or snapback. The line was designed by Dayna Lee Cornelius, who has more than ten years in premium headwear. The brand also publishes Field Notes, a series on construction, craft and faith, including a guide to hats built for working men and one on choosing Christian hats for men that do not look like they came from a church gift shop.

One-stop shop for PH products gets designer-led update

Filipino craftsmanship and creativity was on full display at the launch on Thursday of Kultura Atelier at SM Makati. The one-stop shop of the country’s largest department store chain is known for its wide range of Philippine-made products ranging from comestibles to clothes.  It is also a favorite shopping destination of returning Filipinos who want to take a piece of home back to their country of work. Many tourists also make a beeline to Kultura for souvenirs of their time in the tropics.  With the opening of Kultura Atelier, shoppers now have more options when an event calls for elevated Filipiniana. At the mini fashion show to mark the launch last week, the designers who were tapped to join Kultura’s roster presented pieces from their collection now available in store.  Daryl Maat showed updates to his playful redesign of the short-sleeved barong. Instead of traditional scrollwork or geometric designs, Maat’s features kid-style line drawings stitched in colored embroidery thread. Former professional model Alvin Degamo of Wear Your Culture was wearing one of his own pieces that afternoon, a denim jacket with fabric insets featuring embroidery inspired by the Manobos of Mindanao. He said his pieces are limited because it takes time for the weavers to finish a panel and send it to him.  Degamo then sends the panel to Lumban, Laguna to be embroidered by sewers he has long worked with. “I want to give the pieces from Wear Your Culture something more. Rather than use a woven panel as is, I have it embroidered or hand painted so the finished product stands out from others like it,” Degamo said.  Veteran Cebu-based designer Phillip Rodriguez has also thrown his hat into the retail shopping ring with Isla by Filippo. His elegant pieces shown that afternoon included a red terno ensemble with fabric that featured a solihya-like pattern.  Rodriguez also presented two black barong Tagalog that looked sleek and had a slimming effect.  Other brands and designers that are now part of Kultura Atelier include Fam Ph, Goodluck Humans, Harold and Harry, Jo-Rel Espina, Ken Samudio, Martin Uy, Rodolfo by Puey Quinones, Sari Lazaro, Tim Tam Ong and Zarah Juan. The festivities that afternoon extended beyond the runway with a perfume bar by Tadhana Fragrance, and jewelry customization by Nazrea Pearls. Kultura Atelier and Kultura at SM Makati still share the same space but the former  consists mainly of designer apparel and fashion accessories while the latter carries home decor and food items. In praise of the coconut There are dozens of food and decorative items for sale this weekend at the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) National Trade Fair. This time the coconut is in the spotlight with a wide range of food items ranging from coconut leaf-wrapped suman and extra virgin coconut oil to beaded hanging lamps and Christmas decor made of the tree’s different elements.  As the second coconut-focused trade fair this year, the initiative highlights the versatility of the Philippine coconut industry through innovative products in food, wellness, beauty, textiles, home essentials and handicrafts. The fair is open free to the public until Sunday and is a good place to jumpstart Christmas shopping.  Beyond showcasing local ingenuity, however, the fair opens doors for MSMEs and coconut farmer-beneficiaries to connect with institutional buyers, retailers and consumers, expanding their market reach and business opportunities.

Five decades of healthcare excellence, compassion and service

An evening of elegance, gratitude and celebration unfolded at The Cove at Okada Manila as Perpetual Help Medical Center–Las Piñas marked its 50th anniversary. The hospital marked five decades of dedicated health care, compassionate service and a lasting commitment to providing quality medical care through its enduring mission, “Alagang Perpetual.” The celebration brought together distinguished guests, health care professionals, awardees and friends of the institution for a memorable evening that paid tribute to the people whose dedication and achievements have helped shape the medical center’s legacy. It was not only a celebration of the institution’s golden milestone but also a recognition of the people behind its continued success. Hosted by beauty queen Ganiel Krishnan, the occasion was graced by personalities including Alice Dixson, Joey Generoso of the band Side A, Mags Cue and reigning Miss Universe Philippines Bea Milan Windorski. Their presence added glamour to an evening that blended prestige, appreciation and celebration. Guests enjoyed an elegant dining experience at The Cove, with a choice of beef or salmon prepared for the occasion. The evening also marked the birthday of Antonio Tamayo, who was surrounded by family, friends and distinguished guests. The tribute added a personal dimension to the festivities, bringing together two meaningful occasions: a golden anniversary celebrating a legacy of service and a birthday honoring a respected figure whose presence made the gathering even more significant. More than a milestone celebration, the medical center’s 50th anniversary paid tribute to a legacy built on dedication, compassion and the enduring value of service. It was a golden occasion where legacy, family and service came together in a memorable celebration. “Alagang Perpetual” — 50 years of caring, serving and making a difference.
